Etobicoke Centre and Lakeshore EDAs are pleased to announce another step in our Conservative policy development process on the road to the next CPC Convention being held in August 2018 in Halifax, NS! This West Toronto policy breakfast welcomes Conservatives from West Toronto to consider policy ideas in a multi EDA environment. Discussion priority will be given to those proposals that have been supported by EDA boards and possibly posted to Ideas Lab. EDAs are encouraged to email in advance such proposals in the official format to facilitate organization of the breakfast.
In addition, there will likely be an opportunity to consider other proposals. Proponents are urged to formulate them with specific reference to the CPC Policy Declaration-May 28 2016. (eg add delete amend; a specific policy Section) We want to hear directly from our members, about the policies that are most important to them. Advance written proposals in the CPC format (available from your riding president, Jason or Charles) are strongly encouraged.
The morning discussions are a good opportunity to explain your EDA proposals and gage their support. Remember each EDA can only post up to 10 proposals onto Ideas Lab and is limited to support only up to 25 proposals from across the country for consideration in Halifax.
Please join us for a morning of general policy discussions, focused round-tables and mingling with your fellow Etobicoke-Lakeshore Conservatives over a delicious breakfast!
- 8:00 AM - Coffee and registration
- 8:30 AM - Full Hot Buffet breakfast and introductions
- Roundtable discussions by subject areas
- 10:15 AM - Break
- 10:30 AM - Plenary - Table Facilitators highlight significant ideas and how to promote an idea, clarifications, possible limited debate – gage support by show of hands
- 11:45 AM - Conclusion - Members indicate their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice of all proposals
Tickets: $20 (online pre-registration is strongly encouraged and will have priority)
Online payment preferred but if paying at the door - cash, credit cards and cheques payable to Etobicoke-Lakeshore Conservative Association will be accepted.
Please note no tax receipts will be issued for this event as the $20 is to cover the cost per person.
